Jean-Christophe Maillot’s company continues its dialogue with some of the most prominent figures in contemporary dance. In See You , a world premiere by Paul Lightfoot, the purity of absence and the power of memory take centre stage. In Herman Schmerman, a 1992 piece tinged with irony, William Forsythe shakes up ballet conventions to unleash free energy and an imbalanced geometry. La compagnie dirigée par Jean-Christophe Maillot poursuit ses dialogues avec les grands noms contemporains de la danse. Dans See You , création mondiale de Paul Lightfoot, l’épure de l’absence et l’émotion du souvenir prennent toute leur place. Avec Herman Schmerman, pièce créée en 1992 et teintée d’ironie, William Forsythe bouscule les codes du ballet pour faire surgir une énergie libre et une géométrie du déséquilibre.

Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo OPENING OF THE AUTUMN SEASON OUVERTURE DE LA SAISON D’AUTOMNE

Kazuki Yamada is beginning his tenth and final season leading the OPMC. He will kick the programme off alongside Pablo Fernández on cello on 28 September, with its wide variety of registers and concert formats. The Happy Hours concerts offer an intimate setting in which the orchestra’s soloists revisit the works of Boccherini and Schubert (28 October) and Penderecki, Suk, and Dvořák (4 November). The orchestral power of the Grande Saison blossoms in Vsevolod Zavidov’s recital (3 October), the performances of baritone Matthias Goerne (8 October) and Fatma Said’s vocal journey around Schubert (9 November). There is also a symphonic programme led by Alondra de la Parra featuring Gaëlle Arquez, followed by Stanislav Kochanovsky and Simon Trpčeski on 12 October, and David Fray paying tribute to Bach on 30 November. Finally, the Beethoven-Brahms evening led by Marek Janowski promises a lyrical and virtuosic highlight on 14 December.

Kazuki Yamada entame sa dixième et dernière saison à la tête de l’OPMC. Il donne le coup d’envoi de cette programmation, et son vaste panachage de registres et formats de concerts, en compagnie de Pablo Ferrández au violoncelle (28 septembre). Les Happy Hours musicaux sont des moments de proximité où les solistes de l’orchestre revisitent Boccherini et Schubert (28 octobre), Penderecki, Suk et Dvořák (4 novembre). La puissance orchestrale de la Grande Saison s’épanouit dans le récital de Vsevolod Zavidov (3 octobre), les interprétations du baryton Matthias Goerne (8 octobre) et le voyage vocal de Fatma Saïd (9 novembre) autour de Schubert. À cela s’ajoute un programme symphonique dirigé par Alondra de la Parra avec Gaëlle Arquez, suivi de Stanislav Kochanovsky et Simon Trpčeski (12 octobre), puis de David Fray dans un hommage à Bach (30 novembre). Enfin, sous la baguette de Marek Janowski, la soirée Beethoven Brahms promet un sommet lyrique et virtuose (14 décembre).
